Ran 2 miles in 13:58. A bit shabby but I was incredibly tired from travelling up to London taking my little boy for a checkup.
I started off on the normal route with my erstwhile running buddy (who is better than me but who is kind and slows down to my pace), and whilst I felt ok I am still reluctant to do anything other than a slow plod. or in this case a very slow plod. Maybe it's because I know how hard it is and because I know how tired I'd be. I can't afford to be tired, there is too much else to do and if I let my control freak go (which does not extend to housework and tidyness) I would not know where I would end up. I don't 'do' not knowing where I end up, I fast forward film so I know what's coming next, I read the end of books first so I know the outcome.
Maybe I need to let that go.
So anyway, I feel that my times are crap. But I am looking at times that include walking breaks. If I want to get true mileage calculations then I need to mentally note the mile markers and press that button on my watch that does laps. This will split my time up into 1 mile laps and give me rest times as well..
I saw a review for this on Sunday. I want one so badly I could actually do paid work! It will take me a month to save for it and it had better be worth it.
Having just read the reviews maybe I need more time to save up! more kit is needed to make it work.
